This morning we got up to have our last breakfast at the lodge and to start our journey back to Quito. On the two hour boat ride back to the road we were able to tick one more animal off the list. We saw a lazy sloth way up at the top of one of the trees. After the canoe ride we had another two hours to get to the closest main city that we would then transfer to another bus to get to Quito. Unfortunately since it was so close to Christmas we had to wait until the evening for a bus that had space and we didn’t end up getting back to Quito until 3am.
