We had another early morning today at 4am or make sure we would be with the first group to get into Machu Picchu. We took the bus up to the entrance (last time I walked), which was nice because I could save my energy for exploring the ruins.

Machu Picchu was just as amazing the second time! It was a bright sunny morning so there were no clouds blocking the view. The guide went to most of the same spots as I had previously seen, but I did learn some new facts the second time around! It is surprising how tired you get just from the tour and some exploring around afterwards. The ruins are massive, which I mentioned was the biggest shock for me the first time I saw them. It really is its own city that you could walk around for hours and still not see everything.

After our tour we took a few pictures before getting ready to climb Waynapicchu. I didn’t do this climb with my mom as they only let 400 people do it a day and you have to buy the tickets beforehand. Waynapicchu is the tallest mountain in the background of the ‘classic’ Machu Picchu photo you would find if you looked it up online. It took 2 hours round trip to climb but it is very steep to climb, and many parts have a cable running alongside the stairs for support. It was quite a tough climb, but we made it! The view of Machu Picchu from above was amazing! The climb down ended up being more difficult than the one up because of the tiny steps that the Inca used.

After getting back to Machu Picchu We found a place to sit for a whole and just neipy the view. Oh ya, and I got plenty of good shots with llamas this time, we seemed to come across more in the ruins :). We took in the sights one last time before heading back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then to catch our train back.
