So I am already going to cut you guys short by just giving you a quick update since I am headed out to see the town today. I landed early this morning in La Paz at the highest commercial airport in the world (so i hear) at 4100ft. My heart started racing when I got off the plane and i initially attributed it to nerves, but after a few minutes the obvious answer came to me – I was feeling the altitude already! Thankfully the hostel is down the mountain and my heart returned to a normal rate. I had a lively man pick me up from the airport (he was holding a sign with my name on it, it was awesome) and was able to check into the hostel early this morning to catch a few hours of rest before going out to explore. I have attached a view from the roof of the hostel- it’s awesome!
