So im a little behind on the blogs! sorry!! travelling around leaves less time for the internet. i am in dar right now though and it is my last day in tanzania 🙁 and i have time to kill, so i will update on some of the stuff that has happened in the last couple weeks.

After the beach, it was time to head back to the mainland and go north to Moshi. Gina and i took the night ferry over to dar which actually was a lot of fun. we got vip class and had matresses lying everywhere on the second floor of the ferry. we sprawled out on a big ledge under the front window and slept there! it only takes about 2 hours to get from zanzibar to dar so the ferry anchors just off the coast of zanzibar and then sits there all night until it is time to head to dar. we timmed it so that when we got off the ferry we could go straight to the bus station and catch a bus up to moshi. everything worked out really well. the bus was super nice and we had a couple seats to ourselves! it took about 8 hours to get to moshi which is a town that is near the base of kilimanjaro.

the climb was in a couple days and with that, we had accomodations at a really nice hotel for a couple of nights!! it was quite nice, but i have to admit that some of the budget places we stayed at i almost liked more! they have more personality! my mom arrived later in the evening from canada. it was soooo nice to see her!! she brought a couple comforting items of food from home which i was so appreciative of!!!!! the next day we had to relax, so we spent it touring around moshi, it is a very beautiful city, but full of tourists and therefore full of people bothering you every second! we took the day easy because the next day we were beginning our climb up kilimanjaro!!!!!!!!!
